🍗 Cobblestone Pub — Wing Night & a Tasty Surprise in the Valley
The Cobblestone Pub was buzzing when we rolled in at 6:00 PM on wing night — with the NHL playoffs on, it was packed. Still, we were seated fast and a server was at our table with menus in hand almost instantly. That’s the kind of pace you want on a busy night.
🍽️ What We Ordered
I went for the Almond Chicken Bowl — battered chicken with sautéed veggies, chow mein noodles, and almond plum sauce. It arrived quicker than expected, even with the crowd, and looked absolutely delicious.
The chicken was moist and flavorful, the sauce well-balanced and slightly sweet, and the veggies perfectly cooked. A real standout was the attention to food allergies — our server asked right away if there were any concerns. That level of care goes a long way.
🍻 Pub Vibes
The room was lively but never chaotic. The servers and bussers worked in sync, checking in regularly without being intrusive. There was energy in the air, but the layout gave us space to relax and enjoy the meal.
💬 Final Thoughts
Cobblestone Pub nailed the experience from top to bottom. Between the efficient service, flavorful food, and fun atmosphere, I give it a 4.5 out of 5. It’s a solid choice any night of the week, and a definite go-to for casual nights out in the Cowichan Valley.
