The Cobblestone Pub – Cobble Hill
Date Visited: Wing Night, 6:00 PM

We rolled into the Cobblestone Pub around 6 o’clock, and the place was already hopping. It was wing night and the NHL playoffs were on, so yeah—it was busy. But we were seated quickly, and before we even got settled, a server was at our table with menus.
A couple of minutes later, our server came by to take our drink order. We’d already decided what we wanted, so we went ahead and placed our food orders at the same time.
I went with the almond chicken bowl. It came with battered and fried chicken, sautéed broccoli, carrots, green peppers, onions, chow mein noodles, and an almond plum sauce.
One thing that stood out—our server asked if I had any food allergies when taking the order. That was a first for me at a pub, and honestly, it was great to be asked.
Despite how busy it was, the food came out faster than expected. I was bracing for a long wait, but this time they really nailed the timing.
And let me tell you—this dish was spot on. The chicken was moist and full of flavour, not overdone at all. The plum sauce added just the right amount of sweetness without overpowering the meal. The veggies? Cooked perfectly—hot all the way through but still had that crunch and vibrant colour.
Our server came by to check in and see how everything was tasting. Good timing, and she kept checking in throughout the meal, without hovering or interrupting.
The vibe of the place was upbeat. Loud, but not too loud. Busy, but with plenty of space to move. The staff were on top of it—plenty of servers and bussers so it never felt like they were stretched thin.
Final Rating: 4.5 out of 5 ⭐
Great service, good food, and a lively pub atmosphere. I’d absolutely recommend the Cobblestone—especially on a wing night if you’re into that.
