Combo 3 at Kim Wah Chinese Restaurant with chow mein, prawns, and sweet and sour pork

🥡 Kim Wah Chinese Restaurant – Exceptional Eats in Cowichan Bay

Located in scenic Cowichan Bay, Kim Wah Chinese Restaurant offers not just delicious fare, but a cozy view of the ocean and houseboats that adds a uniquely coastal charm to your dining experience.

👋 Warm Welcome & Ambience

We arrived around 5 o’clock on a Friday, beating the dinner rush. Greeted with a friendly smile, we were seated promptly by the window — a lovely touch that let us enjoy a glimpse of the ocean while we dined.

🍜 Starters & Combos

I started with my usual favourite — won ton soup. Rich, flavorful, and just what you'd hope for in a comforting Chinese soup. For our mains, both Anna and I ordered Combo 3, which included chicken chow mein, deep-fried prawns, and sweet and sour pork.

🔥 Hot Food, Hot Plates

Our meals arrived by 5:30 — piping hot, served with a smile and a warning that the plates were hot. The portions were generous, and the flavours hit all the right notes: crispy prawns, tangy pork, and savoury noodles.

🌟 Stellar Service

Our server was outstanding — attentive without hovering, always smiling, and clearly in command of her role. She kept an eye on every table, and her timing was perfect whether it was a drink refill or checking in on our meal. A true standout in hospitality.

🅿️ Parking Note

One small caveat: parking in Cowichan Bay is tight. The restaurant even has signs asking non-patrons not to use their spots. Plan ahead or carpool if you can!

💬 Final Thoughts

With top-notch service, delicious food, and seaside charm, Kim Wah’s is easily a 5 out of 5 on the *Epicure Table* scale. Dragon Yuan — watch out, you’ve got competition!
